1) At first we toast 1st and 2nd pieces from bottom side ----------> time spent 1 minute.
2) now toast 1st and 3rd piece , 1st piece from upper side and 3rd piece from bottom side ----------> time spent 1 minute.
3) now toast 2nd and 3rd piece , 2nd piece from upper side and 3rd piece from upper side ----------> time spent 1 minute.
so total time spent 3 minute.

It takes ten minutes to toast a bread (five minutes for each side).
You are toasting the bread in a pan that can accommodate only two breads at one time.

What is the least amount of time by which you can toast all the three breads you have?

Ants on a stick may only move left or right. If they bump into each other they bounce off of each other and immediately move in the opposite direction maintaining speed the entire time. The only time they change speed is when they fall off of the edge of the stick.

If 25 ants are randomly put on a 1 meter long stick moving 1 meter per second, what is the longest amount of time it could take for them to all fall off?

  1. Spike doesn't like other dogs much, so he was on one of the ends.

  2. Princess was somewhere to the left of Beau.

  3. Rover was in the third run from the right.

  4. The only dog between Fluffy and Lady was Princess.

  5. Duke was directly to the left of Lady.
