Let's Maximum marks=x
Then Minimum marks=y=x/2
Marks obtained=75=y+12
y=63
y=x/2=63
x=126 marks
Ans is 126 marks

126

Let maximum marks be : X
The student got marks = 75

According to question
Student passed by 12 more marks.

Then 75 -12 = 63
Which is the 50% marks of the total marks

then total marks = (63 * 100) / 50 = 126

student score is 75
and student pass exam with 12 marks
then 75-12=63
63 is a 50% of total marks
so maximum marks x
(x*50)/100=63
x=126
so maximum marks=126
