Treat the hypotenuse as base now apply the area of triangle formula as (base * height)/2
=> 11*6/2
=> 33 cm^2

Are you sure ?
Is something wrong with my ans, would you like to correct it?
I'm am sorry. I should have hinted earlier. It's a trick question. I will drop a hint: The triangle is on Euclidean plane.

33 sq cm should be the answer.

As I had commented earlier, the answer is not straightforward and the question has got a trick hidden. Best of luck ! :)

The area of a triangle is 1/2 ( base x height)
Then Area = 1/2 ( 11 x 6 ) = 33 cm2
