Which type of chocolate will be left ?

There is a jar in which there are two types of chocolates – 20 dark chocolates and 16 milk chocolates. You perform the following steps:
1) You take out two chocolates.
2) If the two chocolates are of same type, you add a dark chocolate otherwise, you add the a milk chocolate .

You repeat these two steps till there is just one chocolate remaining in the jar.
Which type of chocolate will be left?
