Odd + Odd = Even
Even + Odd = Odd
Even + Even = Even
All primes are odd except 2
So to obtain 86479 which is odd one of the prime has to be 2 (Even). Therefore the other number is 86477 which is also a prime. Here the positive difference is 86477 - 2 = 86475.

If the question was to find the difference between the prime factors of 86479 then 17 and 5087 are the only 2 prime factors for 86479.
So the positive difference here is 5070.

Their positive difference is 86475.

(Here the sum of two PRIME NUMBERS is an odd number. So, it is a must that, one prime number is EVEN, and it SHOULD be 2)

The numbers are 86477 and 2
