Answer: The coin is fake, the dating system that uses B.C. and A.D. wasn't created until the year 525. So it is essentially worthless.

Taking all you have stated into account the coin would be worth what ever he could sell it for. If he got a dollar for it or a thousand dollars that's what it was worth to someone
