In an election between two candidates, the one who got 30% of the votes polled is defeated by 1500 votes. Find the number of voted polled by winning candidates?

Let's A is defeater and B is winner candidate.
A+1500=B.....................(i)
A=30%(A+B)................(ii)
simplify (i0 and (ii)
A=1125
B=A+1500=1125+1500=2625
Ans :Number of votes polled by winning (B) candidate is 2625
