# How many kms will the hare have to travel before meeting the tortoise en route?

Haretown and Tortoiseville are 45 kms apart. A hare travels at 7 kms per hour from Haretown to Tortoiseville, while a tortoise travels at 2 kms per hour from Tortoiseville to Haretown.

If both set out at the same time, how many kms will the hare have to travel before meeting the tortoise en route?

A car has 4 tyres and 1 spare tyre. Each tyre can travel a maximum distance of 20000 miles before wearing off. What is the maximum distance the car can travel before you are forced to buy a new tyre? You are allowed to change tyres (using the spare tyre) unlimited number of times.

As we know Cigars can not be entirely smokes, a Dhondu who collects cigar butts, can make a cigar to smoke, he can make a cigar with 3 cigar butts. Today he has collected 27 cigar butts.

So how many cigars will he able to smoke ?

A commuter travelling home for Christmas found the motorways busy.

In the first hour he covered two fifths of the total distance.

The next hour he covered one quarter of what was left.

The following hour he covered two fifths of the remainder and in the fourth hour half of the remaining distance.

The commuter was still 18 kms from home.

How many kms had he travelled?
