Circuit 1 has a capacitor and circuit 2 has an inductor, while the batteries, resistors, and light bulbs are same in both circuits.

Consider the statements below when the two switches are closed simultaneously: *
(Batteries and inductor are "ideal", that is: they have zero internal resistance.)

TRUE FALSE
Light bulb 2 glows first.
Light bulb 2 glows the longest.
Battery 2 must provide more energy than battery 1.
The inductor in 2 must store more energy than the capacitor in 1.

Please help me. TT

Since in both the circuit the type of current used is dc, circuit one will have no current flowing through its bulb. Circuit 2 will have its bulb slowly glowing brighter and brighter as the inductor is opposing the buildup of current in the circuit until steady state is achieved. The inductor in the Circuit 2 is responsible for additional battery energy consumption which is evident as there is an initial opposition by it for a buildup up of current which is stored as energy in the magnetic field of the inductor.
