Dist. Cover diagonally =(3*2)/60=(1/10)km=100m
Area of square field =1/2*100*100=5000sq.m

Just over 70.7 meter.
He has walked 100 meter (3000/60*2). Using Pythagoras gives 70.7 m.

3kmhr = 50meter/minute ~ diagonal is 100 meter ~ side of square =square root of 50 meter = area of square = 50 sq meter
